NCLP is a Charitable Status 'Not for Profit' organisation providing educational and welfare based courses with embedded life skills for young people, parents and parents to be. We promote partnership working with professionals from government, statutory and voluntary organisations and believe that by working together, the young people of today and the children of tomorrow will be the beneficiaries. The 'YMTB' course was devised in 1997 in Gloucester, through Prospect Training Services (PTS) Gloucester Ltd. PTS created NCLP as a not for profit branch in order to develop accredited training to support young parents and Parents to be, this continued development has flourished until the present day. NCLP is recognised for the quality and excellence of its training materials and gained a UK Skills, Highly Commended National Training Award in October 2006. The YMTB and PWP programmes are available to support young Mums and Dads in a comprehensive and flexible range of units which provide evidence to achieve Qualifications on as part of Foundation Learning on the new Credit Framework. The materials for both awards have been designed in partnership with young parents and parents to be along with health and education specialists. |
