New Edexcel Qualifications and Credit Framework Awards and Certificate - Parents with Prospects and YMTB - (Young Parents to Be)


We are delighted to advise our providers that the qualifications YMTB and Parents with Prospects will shortly be available through Edexcel on the Qualfications and Credit Framework. The eixsting qualifications will be withdrawn from the awarding body NCFE with effect from 31st August 2009. Our partnership with NCFE has been a long and successful one over a six year period taking the provision from 4 providers to over 100. Unfortunately the programmes were withdrawn from the Qualifications and Credit Framework process by NCFE as they were unable to take the qualifications further. Our decision to continue pursuing accreditation on the QCF was a difficult one but we are delighted that Edexcel has been able to help us to realise this vision.

Learners will be able to continue achieving their NCFE qualifications until 31st August 2011 although we will no longer be registering learners under the YMTB and PWP schemes from 31st August, 2009.

The new Edexcel QCF qualifications will be available with effect from September 2009. These new qualifications integrate YMTB - Skills for Life Competence and Parents with Prospects into an exciting award structure building on and enhancing our existing programmes.

NCLP specialise in the development

with Prospects. These programmes are now being developed for inclusion on the Qualifications and Credit Framework from September 2009
Find out more		 NCLP works closely with the assessors of all the partner training providers to ensure the highest standards of assessment. Guidance and support is provided to all assessors so that excellent assessment practice is shared and maintained.

Find out more		 Parents with Prospects is our programme for young parents. The award is currently accredited at Entry Level 3, Level 1 & Level 2 by NCFE. The programme will be available as part of the exciting new range of qualifications developed with Edexcel for inclusion on the Qualifications and Credit Framework from September 2009.
